UniBase (the "framework") is a private initiative started on December 12, 1995. Its goal is to provide a reliable and platform-independent network programming framework in C++ for the public domain. Examples of how UniBase is used, online documentation for the library, and an overview of the development plan are available.
Although our ultimate goal is to make UniBase robust and reliable, we DISCLAIM ANY RESPONSIBILITIES YOU MAY ENCOUNTER WHILE USING PART OR ALL OF THE UNIBASE FRAMEWORK.
You may freely use and distribute the framework for non-commercial or commercial purposes, provided that the files are distributed in their entirety and are not altered in any way. If you decide to use UniBase as part of your commercial product, you must
Be aware that, according to international copyright laws, you may not claim any rights to derived work of the UniBase framework. However, I would be glad to co-develop the derived work with you and give you exclusive rights to those parts that you are involved in.
By helping us derive multi-platform versions of UniBase, your effort will be acknowledged by all the TCP/IP programmers in the world. You have the power to make a difference and make Internet programming magnitudes easier just by contributing your modifications to UniBase. Please share your joy of programming by allowing us to distribute your code free of charge with our next distribution.
